The barrage in Zielony Lasek has been used since the second half of the 17th century. Later, a paper mill was built in its place and soon closed as it didn’t stand the competition of industrial paper mills. In 1824 a mill and a water sawmill were built, however the present red-brick half-timbered building was built around 1890. It survived two world wars. The building served as a mill until the 1970s. A hydroelectric power plant has been located here since 1989.
