A deck over dystrophic lakes in Zakręt nature reserve

Information

  • Adres: Krutyń

A wooden deck from which you can observe dystrophic lakes famous for floating peat islands. They are not always clearly visible as due to the wind they sometimes blend to the shore. When resting on the deck, try to look for the smallest European damselfly –– sedgeling. It is only 30 mm long. In Poland, it is rare species under protection. Adult insects can be watched from May to July. Among the peat bog vegetation, you can see an insectivorous round-leaved sundew, bog-rosemary, marsh Labrador tea or bog bilberry.
