A nature trail named Zakręt Nature Reserve leads along a forest road, west of the town of Krutyń. It allows observation of a well-preserved piece of swamp forest with charming mid-forest dystrophic lakes. The trail starts in Krutyń, and at the beginning, it leads along an old avenue of sycamore and lime. Such avenues are characteristic to the Masurian landscape. They were created to provide protection against the sun when travelling on foot or by cart. Going further, you reach the most famous natural monument in the Masurian Landscape Park — A Pair in Love. Its derives from characteristic arrangement of the oak boughs which surround the pine trunk as if they embraced it. In fact, the boughs head towards the road nearby, where they have more access to light. In the final section of the path you will see the Masurian Beehive Oak. There is a beehive in the tree and fragments of a ladder that allowed bee-keepers to get inside. In the past, beekeeping was a highly valued profession, and bee-keepers were associated in brotherhoods and guilds.
