ON THE ROUTE:
- Dirt road, possible unevenness.
The stork trail runs through the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve (MaB) "Masurian Lakes". This is a walking and cycling route starting in the picturesque village of Wygryny and leading through Śwignajno Wielkie and Małe to Ukta. It is worth stopping here for a while and seeing the area from the observation tower. Right next to the tower there are the remains of a pre-war iron railway bridge blown up by retreating German troops in 1945. Mostly stone and brick supports remain from its heyday. From Ukta we go to Gałków, and then along a gravel road leading among picturesque fields, meadows and agricultural areas to Zameczek. Next we pass Wojnowo, a settlement founded by Old Believers, where you can visit a well-preserved Orthodox church and a monastery. Here we can also admire the area from the observation tower. The route ends in Śwignajno Wielki.
