The ruins of a railway bridge in Ukta are the remains of the former monorail route from Mrągowo to Ruciane-Nida. It was opened in 1898. There was regular passenger and freight traffic on the route. It led through i.a.: Wierzbowo, Piecki and Krutyń. In 1945, after the retreating German troops blew up two bridges on the Mrągowo–Piecki section, the line was closed and partially dismantled by the Soviets. Currently, only visible embankments deep in the forest and fields remain of it.
