The only cable ferry crossing in Masuria operates in Wierzba. It connects the shores of Lake Bełdany, 360 metres apart from each other. A rope stretched along the bottom of the lake enables the ferry to move. The ferry crossing is paid and operates during the summer season (June 1–November 29) from 11:00 a.m. to 5:40 p.m. The travel takes 10 minutes or so.
The ferry in Wierzba not only is a unique tourist attraction but it is also a short cut for those who drive from Mikołajki to Popielno or Niedźwiedzi Róg.
