Forester's house in Piersławek is the family home of Ernst Wiechert, the Masurian writer, who was born there on 18 May 1887. It was accommodation tied to the job of Wiechert’s father, Martin.
It was built in 1883 and at that time called Kleinort, after the war –– Sosnówka (until 1967) and nowadays it is Piersławek. Since 1996, there has been operating a forest memorial chamber for the writer. The exhibition was prepared by the Forest Inspectorate and the Museum of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. It contains the writer's works, as well as numerous occasional prints, documents and letters. There are two memorial boards on the wall of the building. One to commemorate the 100th, the other 110th anniversary of the writer's birth.
The forester's lodge offers benches and tables with a place for a bonfire. A nature trail winds nearby.
