The Niedźwiedzi Róg biking trail allows you to admire the beauty of the Pisz Forest, the largest lake in Poland — Lake Śniardwy and the history of this region due to the fortifications from WW II. Leaving Pisz, pay attention to the fortifications of the Pisz blocking point (German: Johannisburg-Riegel). It consists of eight bunkers. In two renovated ones, there is an open-air fortification museum with a military exhibition. The sites and the fortification trail are located at Nidzka street in Pisz (you may enter the parking lot from Olsztyńska street).
During the trip stop in the village of Niedźwiedzi Róg from where you can admire a picturesque Lake Śniardwy with Pajęcza Island and Czarci Ostrów Island. The village name suggests that the Pisz Forest was inhabited by bears in the past. The last bear was shot in 1804. You can also see a monumental oak in Niedźwiedzi Róg, while in the vicinity of the village of Wejsuny, there is a linden avenue.
