This neo-Gothic church was built in 1864. A wooden belfry was erected next to it. Inside, the church makes you amazed with its unique galleries and a choir with pipe organ. You should pay close attention to the painting in the altar, the work of the Italian artist, Girolamo Muziano, from 16th century. The painting pictures the mourning of Christ before he was put to the grave. The parish in Ukta received it in 1863 as a gift from the King of Prussia –– William I –– subject that it is a deposit and remains a property of the Royal Museum in Berlin. After the war, it was included in the list of lost works of art in Magdeburg, and later found in Masuria. This Renaissance piece of artwork underwent conservation and is now a noteworthy stop for tourists and art experts. In 1981 the church was taken over by Catholics.
