A Centre for Periodic Rehabilitation of Storks has been operating at the headquarters of the Masurian Landscape Park in Krutyń since 2001. Annually, it helps about 40–60 birds. Most often, it takes care of injured birds or young birds that have fallen out of their nests and have no chance of survival. In exceptional cases, other species, such as birds of prey, are sent to the Centre. Having been provided emergency help, the birds are set free or transferred to other specialized animal rehabilitation facilities.
